HISTORICAL INFORMATION 

THE HISTORY :

The first traces of human been in Sicily dated back to the last part of the Upper Palaeolithic period, specially in the northern part of the Egadi
's isles. They have found some rock engraving of man and animals, and it maens that man still had some expression ability. The Prehistoric hand manufactured articles mean that there were frequent commercial activities with Grecia, the Egee and Mediterranean isles, with the Asian Centers, Italy, and, sometimes also with northern part of the Africa and Spain.
At the beginning of the history Sicily was colonized by Greeks, so the isle had a quicly evolution. Their colonization last half a millennium. After the Punic wars (212 a.C.) Roman people took the Greec's place on the isle. In 535 Bizantini started with their colonization, and they bring their evolution in giuridic and administrative organizzation; at the same time, they gave at the isle a new topografic division.
In 827 Sicily bacame an Arabian conquest and Arabian people bring a lot of cultural, artisanal, agricultural, and commercial activities.
In 1072 Sicily were under the Norman rules, and after, it was under the Svevian, with Federico II, the Angioina, the Aragonese, with Pietro III, and the Spanish rules. In 1712 it was under Amedeo of Savoia rules, and, in 1721
, under the Carlo VI of Asburgo .
Since 1735 to 1860 it was been the turn of Borboni of Spain, and this dynasty survived till 1860, when Garibaldi took the Sabaudian rules so the isle became part of the Italian Reign. After the two World Wars and the fascism, on february 26th 1948, the isle became an autonomous Italian Region.

Sicily is one of the most beautiful isle in the Mediterranean sea, and it's also the richest archeological place in Italy.Taormina, Siracusa, Agrigento, Selinunte, Segesta, are just some of the marvellous place you can visit on this historical trip.Infact you can find many Temples, old palaces, mosaics and a lot of monuments perfectly preserved.

In Sicily you can find a wonderful blue and green sea, different kind of mountain, absolutely green country and a lot of different kind of luxurian vegetation.
Here there's the Etna: it's not just a mountain, but an historical and cultural element. It's lavic rocks fall down into the Ionio sea, and they made a marvellous sort of a landscape.
